The New England Journal of Medicine
Authors, medical professionals, and average folks alike go to the New England Journal of Medicine to get the answers to their medical questions. It’s also a place to share with others what they’ve learned and discovered in their practice and experience.
Authors visit the New England Journal of Medicine to submit manuscripts of their original research, submit a letter to the Editor, and track other submitted manuscripts.
Original Research submissions include:
- Original Articles – scientific reports of the results from original clinical research studies; text is limited to 2,700 words
- Special Articles – scientific reports from original research studies in areas of economic policy, ethics, health care delivery, and law; text is limited to 2,700 words
Other submissions include:
- Perspective Articles – cover a wide variety of topics of current interest in medicine, health care, and the meeting of medicine and society; limited to 1,000 to 1,200 words
- Editorial Articles – provide analysis and commentary concerning an articles in the issue of the New England Journal of Medicine in which the editorial articles appears; limited to 1,000 words
- Sounding Board Articles – opinion essays; similar to editorials but are not tied to a particular article; often offer opinions on health policy issues; text limited to 2,000 words.
The New England Journal of Medicine is also a great place for Institutions and Libraries. Administrators and librarians are able to:
- access usage reports
- check product descriptions and pricing
- find important contact numbers
- look up frequently asked questions
- place and order
The New England Journal of Medicine now offers a site license program that is designed to give Institutions access to the Journal anywhere and anytime for medical students, researchers, and practitioners.
There is also a section of the New England Journal of Medicine site where Physicians can search for jobs across North America.
In addition, the Journal furthers its mission to achieve wide distribution of its published research findings by giving free access to institutions in over 100 lower-income countries in the world.
