Jay House is in a pleasant very walkable neighborhood in the charming small town of Colusa California, a short stroll from the Sacramento River. 40% of the migratory birds on the Pacific Flyway pass through the area, and Colusa is a few minutes drive from the Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge, Delevan National Wildlife Refuge, and Colusa National Wildlife Refuge. From the house it's a short walk into the Colusa-Sacramento River State Recreation Area. Only an hour from Sacramento or two hours from San Francisco, Colusa is like another world, as relaxing to urban dwellers as an old episode of “Mayberry RFD!” This is a real small town, undiscovered by tourists yet with all the ingredients for a fun and relaxing vacation. Within a few blocks of Jay House are restaurants and cafes, an authentic one-screen movie theater, bowling alley, fitness gym, even public tennis courts. The historic county courthouse was built in 1861. |

| Jay House is completely furnished with a fully equipped kitchen, linens and other amenities. It has 2 bedrooms and sleeps up to nine comfortably: ** Master bedroom with queen bed, plus a curtained alcove with a daybed ** Second bedroom with a double bed plus bunk beds ** Sofa sleeper with double bed in the living room. Jay house is dog-friendly and welcoming for tired nature-lovers after a long day in the field as well as those who prefer to curl up in a comfortable chair with a book. The cost is $120 per night for two people, plus $10 per night for each additional person. Well-behaved dogs are welcome at no additional cost. |
