Aloha, the Hilltop Legacy is located in Downtown Hilo at the highest spot in town but with the exceptional privacy that can never be found this close to town. We offer a unique lodging experience. This house offers a large spacious living room and formal dining room with ten feet ceilings overlooking the beautiful Hilo Bay and Downtown. You will enjoy the privacy of a seven hundred square foot suite, a beautiful koi pond and truly astonishing views. In the back yard, you can find our family horse grazing, which you can arrange to ride. Walk down the street to Downtown Hilo where you will find museums, grocery stores and shops for everyone in your family. Or explore the natural volcanic crater located right outside of your window. Maybe you're feeling lazy...why not just sit on one of our three peaceful lanai's with a cup of Kona coffee and watch the cruise ships pull out in the blue Pacific. It's up to you, at the Hilltop Legacy you are in the perfect location for a real Hawaiian experience.

After a lovely breakfast of fresh local fruit and pastries, juice and coffee, you may want to head out for a day of East Hawaiian adventure. Head north to Waipio Valley (50 minutes) or Akaka Falls (15 minutes). Turn south and head for Volcanoes National Park (45 minutes) or out to Lower Puna and the famous Red Road where the coast is graced with hot ponds and fields of coral (40 minutes). No matter which way you turn, getting there is half the fun as you travel through the breathtaking beauty of east Hawaii. This area is rich in Hawaiian history and geology. We can show you the way to a memorable vacation, in an area that most tourists will never see.

Other Fees & Taxes

Please add 11.42% tax to all rates. There is also a one time cleaning fee for all stays ranging from $35-$65 depending on the room. Please add $20 for each additional guest.

Deposit Requirements

A security deposit of $100 or 30% of the total room cost for longer stays are required. The deposit is 100% refundable with no damages to the unit.Balance due two (2) weeks prior to arrival.

Refund Policies

Deposits will be refunded, less a 10% processing fee of the deposit only. Balance payments made will be refunded the full amount. cancellation is required two (2) weeks or more prior to arrival date. For cancellations within the two (2) weeks of arrival or after arrival date, all payments will be retained. If the unit can be rented, a pro-rata refund will be issued.
