ACTIVITIES IN THE WATER For surfing, transportation, lessons or Surfari guides, Michael Linn and Annie Remmers at ISA Mexico do a great job especially if you are a beginning surfer wanting to get started. For local fishing my buddy Samba out of the Majauha fishing village just down the road from Casa Delfin Sonriente does a great job. Samba weighs in at around 350 pounds and has to catch a lot of fish to feed his family (hint, hint – that means he is good at catching fish). He can also take you around the surf breaks or just sight seeing on his panga. Telephone 755 32849. For Zihuatenejo fishing charters I can recommend the following captains: Whiskey I and Esturion, Captain Alfredo Vargas. These guys are the best deep sea sport fishing charter in Zihuatenejo in my book. Telephone 755 42988. ON LAND Alejandro of Costa Nativa EcoTours will take you hiking, mountain biking, cave exploring or kayaking and all on the same day if you have the energy. Horseback riding: Sunset is the time to take a horseback ride along Troncones beach. Just down the street from Casa Delfin Sonriente, Octavio Nunez and his brother rent out horses and will accompany you for a ride. You will see them most nights riding by the Casa Delfin Sonriente beach ramada and you may stop them and make arrangements for your own horse ride.
