Accommodations: The 3 BR/2 BA house is bright with high ceilings and natural light in every room.

*Air conditioning, heating and a wood burning stove are there for your comfort during your stay.
*Cabin features 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms. One with tub and the other with shower only. One bedroom has a queen bed, other two have two single beds. The living room has two sleeper beds that open to add two more queen beds that sleep two each. (Sleeps 8-10 people).
*Full kitchen and dining area for meals will make your stay cozy as well as allowing you to entertain with meals. It is a short 15 min. drive to restaurants and shops in Colfax to the northeast or Auburn 15 min. to the west.
*There is an outdoor patio area where you can sit and sip your tea or coffee and enjoy the view and just relax. The evening brings the night silence and beauty as the sky lights up while you star gaze.
*The cabin is tastefully decorated with comfortable furniture and beds. Linens and towels are provided.

This cabin is an ideal place to relax and take in the beauty of the majestic mountains across the canyon. Your stay will have a calming effect on your mind and spirit. Perfect place to get away from stress, enjoy nature and have a good time.
The cabin makes a perfect destination for personal and corporate retreats or can be an artist’s, musician’s or a writer’s inspiration.

Nearby Attractions:
*The American River is 10 minutes past the cabin where the sport of white water rafting is at its best during the months of May through September. Raft rentals and/or group rafting tours are available in the nearby towns of Weimar and Auburn.

*Hiking, cycling and gold panning are other attractions of the area.
*Golf course in Auburn with picturesque beauty that meets every level of player’s needs.

*Tahoe and Reno are to the East on Hwy. 80. Tahoe is a destination for more outdoor adventures throughout the four seasons and only 69 miles (111 km) away. Reno is for gambling fun and entertainment and is only 87 miles (140 km) from the cabin.

*Auburn which is known as the Endurance and Sports Capital of the World is 15 minutes away in the opposite direction to the West. There are two major events that make Auburn a popular destination between June and October. The Tevis Cup horse race and the Western States 100 Mile (160 km)) Endurance Run are the events which highlight Auburn as the center of sports activities.

*To the West is Sacramento which is 45 minutes away and San Francisco which is a short drive of 2 1/2 hours. These nearby cosmopolitan cities are available as choices for your arrival or departure and car rental. They are also dining and entertainment destinations and resource information regarding this are available at the Cabin.

*To add to the range of attractions, Rollins Lake is only 15 minutes northeast near the town of Colfax where swimming and boating are perfect in the summer.
Winter sports like snow boarding and skiing are nearby for your enjoyment in Tahoe. Ski resorts such as Squaw Valley and Boreal are as close as 45 minutes away.

*Directions:
From Sacramento take Highway 80 East 15 miles past Auburn. Exit at Weimar Crossroads and stay to the right. You will reach a stop sign and the street will be Ponderosa Rd. at which point you will make a right turn. Drive the windy road for 2 miles and you will reach a hill top (green sign on the right will say Wedenmeyer), continue down the hill and make the next right which is Poppy Way. The house is the second driveway on the left and the number 19780 is painted on the tree trunk.
